About Us

The Medical Image Processing Lab (MIPLab) is headed by Dimitri Van De Ville. The lab is jointly between the University of Geneva (Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology) and the EPFL (School of Engineering, Institute of Bioengineering). Our research interests are at the interface between signal processing and medical imaging:

• Signal and image processing: wavelets, inverse problems, mathematical imaging, sparsity, pattern recognition.
• Functional imaging: (f)MRI, EEG, PET, laser Doppler optics.

• January 2010: We are now hiring!
  New Post-Doctoral Fellowship available.
• December 2009: We are co-organizing the workshop "Brain decoding: pattern recognition challenges in fMRI neuroimaging" in conjunction with the 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR'10) to held in Istanbul, Turkey (August 2010).
• August 2009: Wavelets XIII conference, part of the Wavelets Series Conferences in San Diego CA (Dimitri is general co-chair together with Vivek Goyal, MIT; and Manos Papadakis, UHouston).
• May 2009: Congratulations to Thomas Ethofer whose latest paper in Current Biology has attracted a lot of media attention!
